I’m almost done with the updates. The last remaining item is a better texture for the road, and so far my efforts have all been pretty sucky. I’ll spend some more time on it, but if I don’t like the results, I’m going back to the stripes I have now. Other than that, I’m done with the changes I wanted to make.

If you’re interested in trying out a preview build, leave a comment with a valid email address (which is only visible to me, it doesn’t show up on the blog) and I can send you a link to the apk file.

  3. Emailed both of you a link to the apk. Thanks in advance for taking the time to preview it.

  4. Hi I would like to try out the updated version and give you feedback. I’m not a game dev but can tell you my own opinion

  5. Hi Ziggy,

I’d be interested in trying your update Bus Jumper game. I’m going to be trying my hand at game development soon for Android and iOS. So far I’ve been working on content apps, but games are downloaded far more often.

How much success have you had with your game? Also, if you’re interested, I’ve started a blog series about my experiences as an app and web developer. You can read about it at peakmobiledesigns.com/peak-blog.

    Take care,

    • Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the interest. I’ve released the update to the market, so if you download the game now, you should get the updated version.

“How much success” is hard to describe. Bus Jumper has over 50,000 downloads, which isn’t too shabby IMO. I make around $40 a month on ads, which is OK compared to many other developers, but I’m not quite ready to quit my day job yet :) I’m working (slowly) on a more substantial game with more content, hopefully that will do better.

I’m already subscribed to your blog on Google Reader :) Good luck with your endeavor.
