A few days ago, I was contacted by Jay Van Buiten. He’s written a book on Android marketing called “Genius Android Marketing: Get Rich by Outsmarting the Android Market”, and wanted to know if I was interested in promoting it on my blog (the link takes you to Amazon). At first, I was a little taken aback. This is the first time anyone has approached me with something like this (not counting the one time someone asked me to run ads for leather handbags), and I wasn’t quite sure how to react. My wife pointed out that the FTC has disclosure requirements for blogs. So I did some reading, and exchanged some emails with Jay. He seemed legit, and I believe the FTC won’t come after me if I state that he gave me a copy of his book to review. Still, I wasn’t too sure about this, so I said I’d take a few days to think it over, and read the book.
